Request a Free SessionWho This Is For
This practice is built for veteran founders and operators who are:
- Running an active business — pre-revenue through ~$5M revenue
- Considering AI for operations, customer-facing work, product, or marketing & business intelligence
- Tired of AI hype and wanting a substantive conversation about what's real, what's not, and what's worth your time
- Looking for someone who's actually shipped production AI systems, not someone selling courses
Not the right fit if you're looking for general business coaching or pure fundraising help. I focus on the technical and AI-strategic decisions — including the AI systems behind modern marketing, lead generation, and customer intelligence.
Where AI Pays Off Fastest
Every venture — product, services, professional, or trades — needs the same set of leverage points. AI moves the needle hardest in these areas, and they are where most of the conversations end up:
- Automated marketing & outbound — AI-driven content, sequences, personalization, and channel routing so a one- or two-person team competes with a marketing department
- Business intelligence & lead-gen scanners — multi-source agentic pipelines that find opportunities, score them against your ICP, and surface the ones worth your time (the same approach I built for an industrial portfolio company tracking 1,200+ companies and 4,800+ contacts)
- Customer intelligence & retention — turning support tickets, calls, and CRM notes into structured insight you can actually act on
- Sales & pipeline automation — qualifying inbound, drafting follow-ups, surfacing the next-best action, and keeping the CRM honest
- Operations automation — the unglamorous internal tools that quietly recover hours every week (intake, scheduling, invoicing, document review)
- Vendor evaluation — cutting through the AI sales pitches you are already getting and telling you what is real, what is wrapper, and what to walk away from
Not every business needs all six. Part of the free session is figuring out which one or two will move your business the most.
What You Get (Free)
The 90-Minute Working Session
We meet over video. You walk me through what your business does and where you think AI might help — or where you've heard it might help and you're skeptical. I ask the questions that surface what's actually worth doing versus what's noise.
The Written Follow-Up
Within five business days, you receive a 3–5 page document covering: what's worth pursuing, what's not, what specific tools or approaches fit your situation, what to avoid, and what questions to ask any vendor pitching you AI services. Yours to keep, share with co-founders, or use as a vendor evaluation reference.
A Clear Answer on Next Steps
Some businesses need nothing further — they leave with a plan they can execute themselves. Some want help implementing. I'll be direct about which category I think you're in.
The Paid Path (For Those Who Want It)
Right now, I'm building this practice deliberately — starting with free engagements only. The goal is to help as many veteran-owned businesses as possible in the first 90 days, learn what's most useful, and build something durable from there.
Paid engagements will become available later in 2026 for veterans who want deeper implementation work after the initial session. Veteran rates will run 30–40% below my standard fees.
No pressure to convert. Many businesses leave the free session with a plan they can execute themselves — that's the point. Some work may be fundable through SBA programs, IVMF, or veteran-entrepreneurship sponsors. I'll help identify those paths if relevant.
Why I'm Doing This
West Point. The Army. Combat. The years before any of the engineering work shaped who I am, and the respect I have for veterans is something only people who have actually served fully understand. Very few Americans serve. Almost no one really sees what it takes to build and defend this country. The ones who do are a different kind of person.
I've spent thirty years since then building systems in industries where failure costs millions and latency is measured in milliseconds. I've also lived the entrepreneur's path — the long stretches, the wrong turns, the lessons that only come from making the mistake yourself.
AI changes the math. What used to take a team and a year now takes one engineer and a few weeks. That kind of leverage is the best opportunity entrepreneurs have ever had — and I want as many veterans as possible to seize it.
So this practice is not just technical. I'll share the engineering judgment I've built, but I'll also share the entrepreneurial scar tissue — the mistakes I've already made so you don't have to make them too. I want my brothers and sisters from service to do well. The country's work ethic, character, and backbone live disproportionately in this community, and helping it succeed is the thing I most want to spend my time on right now.
