About

Sanju Goswami

I'm Sanju Goswami. I run ForwardAI, a forward-deployed AI engineering practice based in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Before ForwardAI, I spent 30+ years building systems for Wall Street institutions — Société Générale, UBS, Bankers Trust (later Deutsche Bank), ING, and Kidder Peabody — and my own ventures. The work was risk management, options pricing, trading infrastructure: systems where being wrong has consequences measured in millions of dollars and seconds of latency. That work shaped how I think about AI today — not as a product category, but as engineering, with real constraints and real failure modes.

Before that, I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Electrical Engineering and served as an Army officer, including in the Persian Gulf War. I later learned Financial Engineering at NYU Stern and Artificial Intelligence at Fordham.

Entrepreneurship

I've also founded and operated companies that grew to $25M+ in revenue over 23 years, including Zesttee.com — a healthcare and wellness platform. Currently I am helping startups succeed.

Current Practice

ForwardAI is the consulting arm. I take on a limited number of engagements at a time — typically 2-3 active clients — because forward-deployed engineering means I'm directly building in your codebase, not handing off specs to a team. Current and recent clients include one of the largest IT service providers in Southeast Asia, a proprietary trading firm, a military equipment contractor, and a private equity firm.

Veteran Practice

The veteran-owned business practice is a recent addition — and the part of the work I'm proudest of. Free AI advisory sessions for SDVOSB and VOSB businesses, because a lot of veterans I served with are building businesses without the technical resources their non-veteran peers have access to. I have skills that are useful here. That's the whole reason.
